Our Rain Barrels with Lid/Closure are designed to withstand heavy use and are made with reinforced materials like high-density polyethylene (HDPE). While not recommended for drinking-water storage, rainwater collected in a barrel is generally safe for plants. Rainwater collected in a barrel can be used for irrigation, reducing reliance on municipal or man-made water source.
